Hotel Bad Salomonsbrunn

An oasis of peace and well-being where past and present coexist in an alpine setting of rare beauty.

Our hotel, whose history is intertwined with that of the thermal spring of the same name, is a perfect blend of tradition and modernity: the 19th-century historic house with its splendid period interiors stands alongside newer alpine-style structures.

Its location is unique and unparalleled: in the middle of a wide meadow surrounded by woods, facing majestic peaks, in the heart of the Vedrette di Ries-Aurina Nature Park and just a short distance from the picturesque Lake Anterselva and the most famous Dolomite destinations.

The cross-country ski trails just a few meters away, the nearby Olympic biathlon arena, and the Plan de Corones ski area offer the best conditions for memorable winter holidays.

In summer, the valley is a paradise for hikers, bikers, climbers, and all those who love experiencing nature up close.

Guests can also dedicate their holidays to self-care in our welcoming wellness center, where the water of the Bagni di Salomone takes center stage.

The excellent cuisine of our chef Nino, the elegant and comfortable rooms, the relaxed atmosphere, and the warm South Tyrolean hospitality are further reasons to visit us in Anterselva.

We look forward to welcoming you!

Pure nature

Endless forests, green meadows, majestic peaks, glaciers, and an abundance of water: the splendid Lake Anterselva, roaring waterfalls, and a nature biotope—within the Vedrette di Ries-Aurina Nature Park.

A Dive into History

We owe our existence to a precious thermal spring that is still part of our hotel today. First mentioned in a 1559 document, this water was soon recognized for its healing effect.

Near the spring, the Chapel of Santa Maria was built in 1725, and in 1820 the Hotel Bad Salomonsbrunn was founded. The name has nothing to do with the biblical king: it derives from “Salman”, meaning “mediator” in Old German.

The hotel and spring were purchased in 1949 by the Auchentaller family, who over the years gave the establishment its present form. Three generations have managed it: Mimi and Peter, Erika and Pino, and finally us—Denise and Nino.

Nino’s Cuisine

Culinary experiences that create lasting memories

Passionate about cooking in all its forms, our chef Nino offers a masterful mix of traditional South Tyrolean specialties and Mediterranean-inspired dishes, always interpreted with flair to delight even the most discerning palates. Since presentation matters too, he ensures that every dish is beautifully plated.

In his creative kitchen, he transforms the finest local ingredients with dedication and expertise into culinary delicacies that we proudly serve each evening—providing guests with top-level gourmet experiences.

The gourmet journey begins at breakfast with an inviting and generous buffet featuring exquisite local sweet and savory products. Those seeking a heartier start to the day can enjoy delicious hot egg dishes freshly prepared on the spot.
